A Little Preview


My dying is like being reborn. Like scars erased. Old flames are relit — ex-lovers who want a taste of magic or the divine. Apologies flood my inbox from everyone who has ever hurt me. I type I forgive you over and over until the keystrokes are part of my muscle memory. I hug people for a second more than is comfortable, even when they go to shake my hand.
